Demolition and Asbestos Removal, One Team
Many Gold Coast homes and buildings built before 1990 contain asbestos in the roofing, walls, eaves, insulation or flooring. Queensland law requires it to be identified before demolition and removed by licensed removalists, with the right notifications made to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
Gold Coast Demolitions handles the survey, licensed removal, disposal at an approved facility and the clearance certificate as part of the job. There's no second contractor to organise, and no delays waiting on someone else before demolition can start.

Pricing
How Much Does Demolition Cost on the Gold Coast?
Every demolition is different, so the only accurate price is one based on your site. These are the main things that affect the cost.
After a free site inspection you get a written quote, so you know what's included before work starts.
What affects your price
- The size and construction of the building
- Whether asbestos is present, and how much
- Access for machinery and trucks
- Pools, sheds, driveways or trees to remove
- The slope of the site and any retaining walls
Common Demolition Questions
The cost depends on the size and construction of the house, whether asbestos is present, access to the site and what else needs removing, such as pools, sheds or driveways. After a free site inspection we give you a detailed written quote covering permits, surveys, demolition, waste disposal and site clearance.
Most house demolitions take 3 to 7 days on site, from the start of work to final site clearance, depending on the size of the structure and whether asbestos is present. Before that, allow time for the asbestos survey results, approvals and service disconnections. You get a clear timeline with your quote.
Any house built before 1990 may contain asbestos in the roofing, walls, insulation or flooring. Queensland law requires asbestos to be identified before demolition. We arrange a full survey, safe removal by licensed removalists, and a clearance certificate confirming it has been removed before demolition goes ahead.
Most demolitions need approval before work starts, and some properties, such as older homes in character areas, may also need council approval. Asbestos removal must be notified to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, and power, water, gas and NBN must be disconnected. We handle all of it, so your project proceeds legally and without delays.
Before work starts we record the condition of neighbouring properties with dilapidation photos. During demolition we use water sprays and barriers to suppress dust, debris netting to keep material on site, vibration monitoring where needed, and work hours that respect local noise rules.
Materials are separated and recycled wherever possible. Concrete and brick go to approved recycling facilities, timber to wood recyclers and metals to scrap processors. Asbestos and contaminated materials go to licensed facilities, with waste dockets showing compliant disposal of everything removed from site.
Yes. We handle complete site clearance, including pool removal (filling or full extraction), underground tank removal and septic system decommissioning. Filled pools may need engineering certification, which we organise so the site is suitable for new construction.
Yes. Sheds, garages, carports, granny flats, driveways and concrete slabs can be removed on their own or as part of a full demolition, so the whole site is cleared at once.
Yes. Gold Coast Demolitions demolishes shops, offices, warehouses and industrial buildings, and carries out commercial strip-outs, with traffic, dust and noise managed around your business and neighbours.
Yes. We provide complete site preparation, including excavation for new foundations, site levelling, cut and fill, retaining wall removal and service trenching for plumbing and electrical. Using one company for demolition and earthworks saves time and coordination, and makes sure the site is properly prepared for your new build.

Local Demolition Near You, Across the Gold Coast
Gold Coast Demolitions is a local demolition company working right across the Gold Coast, from Coomera and Helensvale in the north to Currumbin in the south, and out to Nerang and Mudgeeraba in the hinterland. We handle house demolition, commercial demolition, asbestos removal, strip-outs, earthmoving and excavation for homeowners, builders and businesses.
Gold Coast sites come with their own challenges. Beachside suburbs mean sandy soil, high water tables and salt-affected steel. Older homes right across the Coast often contain asbestos, and hinterland blocks bring slope and access to plan around. We factor all of it into the quote, so nothing catches you out once work starts.
Every job starts with a free site inspection and a written quote. Approvals, disconnections and clean-up are handled for you, and the site is left clear and level when we leave.
