Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
This policy explains how Gold Coast Demolitions ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores and shares personal information through goldcoastdemolitions.com.au. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to us.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote, we collect the details you enter in the form:
- your first name and mobile number
- your email address, if you give it
- your suburb and the service you need
- anything you write in the project details box
The form also sends the address of the page you were on and, if you arrived from an advertisement or campaign link, the campaign details in that link (such as UTM tags or a Google click ID).
We also collect information about how the website is used through Google Tag Manager and the analytics and advertising tools it loads, such as Google Analytics and Google Ads. These use cookies and similar technologies to record things like the pages you visit, your device and browser, your approximate location based on your IP address, and how you found the site.
We don't ask for sensitive information, so please don't include it in the project details.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry.
- To pass your enquiry to the business that will carry out the work, which arranges the site inspection and prepares your quote (see "Who we share it with").
- To understand how the website is used and which advertising works, so we can improve both.
We won't use your details to send you unrelated marketing without your consent.
How it's stored
Quote requests are sent over a secure (HTTPS) connection and stored in our enquiry management system, which runs on the systems of our hosting, form-handling and analytics service providers. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
We keep your information for as long as we need it for your enquiry, any work that follows, and our legal obligations, typically up to 7 years.
Who we share it with
- The business that performs the work. Gold Coast Demolitions passes your enquiry to the demolition business that carries out the job, so they can contact you, inspect the site and quote. They handle your information under their own privacy obligations.
- Service providers that help us run the website and enquiry system (hosting, form handling and analytics), only as far as they need it to provide those services.
- Anyone we're required or authorised by law to share it with.
We don't sell your personal information. Some of our hosting, form-handling and analytics service providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
Cookies and analytics
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the website still works without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and change how Google personalises ads in your Google account's ad settings.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email your request to privacy@goldcoastdemolitions.com.au. We'll confirm who you are and respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please email us first at privacy@goldcoastdemolitions.com.au so we can put it right. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. This policy applies to Gold Coast Demolitions and goldcoastdemolitions.com.au.
