Why Helensvale chooses us
Why Helensvale Locals Choose Gold Coast Demolitions
Helensvale was planned as a family suburb, and many of those first homes are now due for a change. Some owners are knocking down and rebuilding. Others are keeping the house and clearing out a pool, a granny flat or an old extension. We quote both kinds of job with the same care.
1980s Homes Surveyed
Helensvale's earliest homes went up in the 1980s, before asbestos was phased out. Each one is surveyed, and any asbestos goes out with licensed removalists first.
One Written Quote
House, pool, shed and slab are all inspected at once, so one quote covers the whole block.
Keep the House If You Want
Granny flats, rear extensions and pools can come out while the main home stays put and stays protected.
Quiet Streets Respected
Trucks, parking and dust are planned for curving residential streets, and neighbours get notice before work starts.
Approvals and Disconnections Sorted
Building approval, notifications and disconnection of power, water, gas and NBN organised for you.
Left Ready for the Builder
Rubble removed, materials recycled where possible, and the block levelled so your builder can start straight away.

What's Different About Demolition in Helensvale
A planned suburb, now growing up
Helensvale sits about 19 kilometres north-west of Surfers Paradise, on old sugar plantation land between the Pacific Motorway and Coombabah Lake. Homes started going up in the 1970s and 80s, planned around a curving park and the Helensvale golf course. Hope Island is immediately to the north on the Coomera River, with Oxenford and Pacific Pines over the motorway and Coombabah and Arundel to the south. The Gold Coast Highway and the Pacific Motorway link here, and Helensvale station connects heavy rail, the G:link light rail and buses, the only place on the Gold Coast where all three meet. The first stage of the Coomera Connector now runs to Helensvale Road.
The homes, and what they need
Most Helensvale houses are detached family homes from the 1980s and 90s, many now being modernised. That means two kinds of job. Some owners knock down and rebuild. Others keep the house and clear out what's aged badly, like a cracked pool, a granny flat or a tired rear extension. The oldest homes were built before 1990, so an asbestos survey comes first. Townhouses, golf-course homes and a few acreage lots round out the mix.
Creeks, canals and low ground
Most of the suburb is flat estate land. Its edges are wetter. Coombabah Creek has low-lying mangrove land along it, Saltwater Creek forms the north-east boundary, and canal estates in the north give boat access to the Coomera River. Heavy rain at high tide has flooded land near the creek before. On blocks near the water, footings and slabs come out carefully and the ground is backfilled and compacted ready for the new build.
The council, and getting to you
Helensvale is in the City of Gold Coast. Most demolitions need building approval, and some lots carry flood or other overlays, so Gold Coast Demolitions checks what applies to your property before quoting. Trucks reach the suburb from the Pacific Motorway, the Gold Coast Highway and Helensvale Road. Loads are timed around peak hour and school drop-off.

Demolition in Helensvale, Answered
It depends on the size and construction of the house, whether asbestos is present, access to the block, and whether there's a pool, shed or granny flat as well. After a free site inspection you get a written quote covering approvals, surveys, demolition, waste and site clearance.
Most house demolitions in the City of Gold Coast need building approval, and some lots have extra planning requirements such as flood overlays. We check what applies to your property and organise it.
It could. Homes built before 1990 may contain asbestos in eaves, wet areas, sheeting or old vinyl floors. It's surveyed before any work starts and removed by licensed removalists.
Yes. Gold Coast Demolitions handles partial jobs as well as full knockdowns. Pools are broken out and backfilled, and granny flats, sheds and extensions are taken down with the main home protected.
It can. Land near the creeks and canals is lower and can hold water, so we check for flood or site overlays, plan access and runoff around the waterfront, and backfill and compact the ground once the slab is out.
Truck movements are timed around peak traffic and school zones, loading is kept inside the site where possible, and neighbours are told before work starts.
Most home demolitions take 3 to 7 days on site, after the asbestos survey, approvals and disconnections are done. A pool or granny flat on its own is usually quicker.
