Why Mudgeeraba chooses us
Why Mudgeeraba Locals Choose Gold Coast Demolitions
Mudgeeraba jobs rarely stop at the house. There's often a shed, a granny flat, a pool or an old outbuilding on a big block, and the ground usually isn't flat. We price the whole property after one visit and bring the right machines for the slope.
Old Sheds Checked Too
Older homes, sheds and outbuildings can hide fibro sheeting. Everything built before 1990 is surveyed, and licensed removalists take out any asbestos first.
One Quote for the Whole Block
House, sheds, granny flat, pool and slabs are all inspected and quoted together, in writing.
Machines Sized for the Slope
Sloping blocks and long driveways are walked first, so the right excavator and trucks come on the day.
Village Rules Checked
Lots in the old village can have extra character and heritage requirements. We check them before quoting.
Every Load Taken Away
Rubble, steel and timber are removed, recycled where possible, and the block is left clear and level.
Big Blocks Left Tidy
Old slabs, footings and paths come out across the block, not just under the house.

What's Different About Demolition in Mudgeeraba
Mudgeeraba, in short
Mudgeeraba sits in the hinterland foothills, about fourteen kilometres south-south-west of Surfers Paradise, on the far side of the M1 from Robina. Tallai and Worongary wrap around its north and west, with Bonogin and Reedy Creek to the south. It began as a farming and timber village, and when the railway arrived in 1903 the town centre moved to where Railway Street is today. The motorway now follows much of the old railway line, and Gold Coast–Springbrook Road heads out through the suburb toward the ranges.
Cottages, brick homes and acreage
Housing here changes as you leave the village. Near Railway Street there are older timber Queenslander cottages. Further out are 1990s and 2000s brick-and-tile family homes. Then come acreage properties toward Tallai and Bonogin, where many older houses sit on half-acre to two-acre blocks. Those bigger blocks mean more to remove: sheds, granny flats, pools and outbuildings, often built at different times. Any of them from before 1990 is checked for asbestos first.
Hills, slopes and the creek
Away from the village flats, the ground rises into bush-covered hills, and many blocks slope. That affects which machines can get in, where trucks can load, and how the block is left for the builder. Down in the valley, Mudgeeraba Creek has had flood warnings, so we check flood and site overlays on your lot before quoting. Once everything is gone, the ground is levelled and compacted ready for the new build.
The village, the council and getting to you
Mudgeeraba is in the City of Gold Coast. Most demolitions need building approval, and the old village centre has its own character and heritage planning rules, with heritage-listed buildings like the Wallaby Hotel and the old post office. Gold Coast Demolitions checks what applies to your lot before quoting. Trucks come off the M1, with loading planned around the village main street and the long, sloping driveways found on acreage.

Demolition in Mudgeeraba, Answered

Most house demolitions in the City of Gold Coast need building approval. Lots in the old village can also have character and heritage requirements. We check what applies to your lot and organise it.
Yes. Gold Coast Demolitions removes sheds, granny flats and outbuildings on their own, and works around the house, gardens and services you're keeping.
They can. Sheds and outbuildings built before 1990 may have fibro walls or roofing. They're surveyed first, and any asbestos is removed by licensed removalists.
Usually, yes. We walk the block and the driveway first, then choose the machine size and truck loading point to suit the slope.
The creek has had flood warnings, but it depends on where your lot sits. We check the flood and site overlays for your address before quoting.
Most home demolitions take 3 to 7 days on site, after the asbestos survey, approvals and disconnections are done. Large acreage blocks with several buildings can take longer.
